M. Nightmare

We interupt this blog for the following entertainment review...

As Top Fans of M. Night Shyamalan, Top Men went to see The Happening this weekend. We have extensively exercised the scientific method (gratuitously recited in the film) and reached a conclusion...

It was not written and directed by Mr. Shyamalan, but by his twelve year old daughter Saleka Shyamalan.

What a twist!

(We hope we're right for his sake.)

We now return to our irregularly scheduled blog...

HAHAHA... I sure hope so that it was her.. and I'm starting to think it was directed by his son 'Shane' Shyamalan too.

Guys,
Well, I don't think you're giving the greatest 'twist' artist of all time and the most interesting director of all time his due. Here's my thoughts if you care to check them out...

Warning: Spoiler and Speculation on the Real Twist in The Happening from the independent film critic at movieEVERYday.com.

I dunno what happened to Night. Maybe he started believing his own hype and failed to see the need for writing beyond a first draft. It's hard to believe that the same man who wrote and directed the thoughtful, intelligent, artistic films The Sixth Sense and Signs could create the piece of pretentious bafflement that was Lady in the Water. I didn't even bother to see The Happening after reading what the reviewers were saying. It would be far to painful to watch one of my favorite filmmakers destroy himself.
